Malaya Garnet:
The commercial name for a pyrope-spessartite garnet coming from Tanzania.
Etymology: Malaya = « prostitute » in ki-swahili.
_When these stones were first discovered, no one really knew how to classify them. They were not much in demand and these gems were considered « outcasts » by the miners.

Etymology: from the name of the locality "Montebras", Soumans, Creuse, France.
Belong to the Amblygonite group and the Phosphate class.
Moonstone: 月長石
Commercial name given to a feldspar.
The moonstone is characterised by an enchanting play of light. Indeed it owes its name to that mysterious shimmer which always looks different when the stone is moved and is known in the trade as ’adularescence’. Etymology: Named after John Pierpont Morgan.
The Morganite is a pink beryl.
The pink color could be enhanced by heating.
M’torolite:
It is a green chalcedony coming from Zimbabwe, Namibia.
The green color of the M’torolite is coming from Chromium.
